Public Safety
Troy is one of the safest cities in Oakland County. Still, we can improve public safety by:

-
Provide continuous financial support for training, equipment, and staffing for the:
-
Police Department
-
Fire Department
-
EMS
-
-
Prevent emergencies by focusing on:
-
Mental Health Services
-
Neighborhood Programs
-
-
Build relationships between law enforcement and residents to promote trust and transparency
Together, we can create a city where safety is not a privilege but a shared reality.

Infrastructure
LIBRARY:
-
It is almost 50 years old and much smaller than a city like Troy should have. Compared to nearby cities, our library is nearly half the size it should be.
-
We need to modernize our community's library with the amenities that its patrons deserve.
-
We need a new library that can truly support learning, technology, and community programs.

ROADS:

-
Provide more monetary support to the Troy Public Works team.
-
The team works diligently to repair Troy's roads, however, the problem is not just about small repairs.
-
We need a comprehensive plan to improve our roads, making them safe, smooth, and ready for the future.

OTHER FACILITIES:

-
Assess all Troy governmental structures and provide modernization support.

Quality of Life
One of Sadek's key priorities as a City Council candidate is improving the quality of life for all residents, including Troy's younger and older residents.

-
After graduation, our youth often leave for college and then move to other states or cities that offer more vibrant and youth-friendly environments.
-
Troy needs to create spaces and opportunities for new businesses that encourage young people to stay or return, through:
-
modern amenities,
-
gathering places
-
accessible/affordable housing options
-
-
Develop and build a center dedicated to our older residents that offers recreation, education, and community.
-
Many of Troy's residents are empty nesters living in large homes that are increasingly difficult and costly to maintain.
-
Troy needs affordable, single-level housing options that would allow older adults to downsize and continue living comfortably in the community they love.
-
We need to benchmark other cities and amend the Zoning law to accommodate more attainable, diverse homes/housing units in certain locations.
-
Ensure that development and redevelopment are built in a strategic way that maximizes green space and walkability.

He believes that by addressing these issues, Troy can become a more welcoming, balanced, and livable city for people at every stage of life.

Together, we can strengthen our community and improve the quality of life for all.
